Our reviewer Alex Smith attended the Dusseldorf Boat Show in Germany to see what surprises European boatbuilders had in store for 2016. One of the big ones he discovered was the new Linssen Grand Sturdy 590 AC. And when we say “big,” we don’t just mean in terms of LOA but also in terms of news. This boat is anything but average, from the steel—yes, steel—hull, to the walnut cabinetry, to the teak decks. It also has quite an unusual arrangement in the cabin. The galley is down, but not in the usual sense. Instead it’s down and aft, where one would normally expect to find an aft cabin stateroom. See it for yourself by watching our First Look Video of the Linssen Grand Sturdy 590 AC.

Though Linssens aren’t exactly common on this side of the Atlantic, there are a number of Linssen listings in the USA, which you can check out if you find this sort of boat interesting.
